Caryl Serbin Will Be the Featured Speaker at "Prepare for the Path Ahead" A Seminar Preparing ASCs for Changes in the Medicare Payment Syste

Fort Myers, FL (PRWeb) February 7, 2007 -- In January, 2008, Medicare will implement the biggest change to Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) payments in over 20 years, including a fundamental change in the ASC procedure list. Speaker Caryl Serbin, President and Founder of Fort Myers, FL based Surgery Consultants of America, Inc (SCA) and Serbin Surgery Center Billing, LLC (SCB), will present information surgery centers need to make a smooth transition to the new system.



The event, which is being held by the American Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (AAASC), will take place February 22-23 at the Marriott Atlanta Airport in Atlanta Georgia. The program is designed to help administrators, coders/billers, physician owners, directors of nursing, and business managers with the changes they face with the new Medicare payment system. For some attendees, this program qualifies for 13 hours of continuing education credits.

Interactive sessions in which attendees can bring their laptops to participate include The Importance of Case Costing, Impact of Fee Schedule, and Budgeting for Change.
