New York Trial Lawyers Association President Speaks on "Impeaching Defense Expert" During Melvin Belli Society Seminar at AJA 2008 Annual Convention

New York, NY (PRWEB) June 24, 2008 -- New York State Trial Lawyers Association President Jeff Korek will present "Impeaching Defense Expert, as to Objectivity and Expertise in the Relevant Field" during the 61st Melvin Belli Society Seminar on Friday, July 11, 2008. Using Francisca Parra, et. al. v. Melissa Marut, R.N., et. al., Korek explains 10 minutes how he has effectively used expert witness testimony in a medical malpractice case. This annual seminar kicks off the American Association for Justice 2008 Annual Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

"It's important for attorneys to know that it's perfectly ethical to use expert witness testimony from a previous case," says Korek. "So it's vital that the expert understands that his or her testimony may be used in this way. To help manage this information, law firms must maintain expert witness testimony databases."

Korek adds that his personal injury and medical malpractice law firm, Gersowitz, Libo & Korek, has maintained an expert witness database since the early 1990's.
